I am very happy with the performance of this kit even though it has only been a few days. My main complaint is the same as several others. I understand it's a large, heavy piece of metal, but the box was badly dented when I received it. The other really big complaint I have is that the wrong clutch alignment tool was sent in the kit. The splines on the tool were completely different from the clutch/gearbox rendering the tool unusable. Luckily the Mini Cooper doesn't have a pilot bearing, so I was able to center the friction disc simply by feeling the edges of the pressure plate with my fingers. It only costs a few extra bucks to order this kit from one of the reputable service providers and based on those few things I'll probably go that route next time. Tip: If you are having trouble replacing your clutch, be sure to install a new rear main oil seal, as well as the throwout bearing guide tube and clutch yoke bushings.
