Either I got the wrong instructions or the pictures are inaccurate and the English is horrible

Alright, I will start out with this. I'm very skilled at putting desks together because I've done this as a job for several years, and it wasn't hard. However, this set highly irritated me because the instructions were horrible! I had to wait a while to write this review because I didn't want to write it out of anger and tried to give it a fair assessment. Here is my experience with constructing this desk:The assembly of this furniture took a lot of my prior experience with poorly written instructions that someone gave me at one point through a job. Naturally, you would use common sense with this. Oh, but those instructions even challenged that! They need someone to double-check the technical writer who did this because it was wrong, or I must have gotten some bad instructions. The pictures were the most frustrating because they were not accurate. I had to undo and redo many parts because the assembly outcomes did not match what the picture was saying. The packages with the screws and tools were not labeled clearly either. They were difficult to see. Finally, I put the instructions aside and finished by eye what I felt it was supposed to look like by using the image on ebay at the end of it all. To this day, it still stands, and I'm dealing with it. However, putting this together wasn't very pleasant. The workspace is shorter than most desks. I would say that this would be good for secondary school kids who are just going to do their homework there and get up to do other things. This desk might frustrate those who are gamers or do office work (or both) because this desk is not a friend for people with long arms or legs. It gave me more room in my work area, so I decided to live with it. I also bought the two-drawer side desk, and it slides underneath just fine. My computer tower barely fits under it, and it isn't even that big. However, I made it work.Overall, providing poorly done instructions with inaccurate drawings to represent how the desk should look is one of the most frustrating things you could ever do to a customer. Please have someone review the instructions before sending them out. That's all. As for the space on the desk, I would not recommend this desk for those who have gaming PCs because your arms will hurt after a while. There isn't much space. I'll just deal with this until I feel like buying another desk. The only positive thing is that it does save space in the room overall.

Pros
  • The desk has a classic and timeless design that will never go out of style
Cons
  • Has a cheap feel
