Review on 🚚 ZEROXCLUB WX02: Waterproof Wireless Backup Camera System for RV/Truck/Semi-Trailer/Box Truck by Derick Carpenter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Installation is intuitive

I have previously ordered and installed a Podofo wireless camera system only to find the signal is not reaching the monitor of our 40ft Class A motorhome. I then had to remove the entire system and send it back to Revain for a refund. I then reinstalled the old black and white system and decided to wait for the new system to come out with great reviews. When I ordered this new system 2 years later I was concerned and didn't want to install everything until I had tested it to make sure the signals were reaching the monitor adequately. Upon opening the box I found many mounting options but very limited instructions on how to mount the cameras. That was fine because right out of the box I tested cameras and monitors with temporary battery connections using car battery jumpers and both cameras were already configured to display on the monitor. As soon as I realized they would work, I temporarily placed a camera. parked in my truck behind my 40ft RV and wired up with jumpers. I plugged the monitor into the RV cigarette lighter and got a strong signal and a good picture. Knowing that this system would carry through to the RV's dashboard, I began the installation. I used the mounts that came with the cameras, other options are included in the box, and installed a camera on the back of the camper. directly below where the original black and white camera once stood. I tilted it down sharply to see the tractor (Nissan pickup) hitch. I installed a second camera at the top of the rear of the pickup, facing backwards to see traffic behind the truck. This gave me a great split screen view of both my tractor and what was behind me. The picture quality matches the price and since the cameras are already set up to be displayed on the monitor, when hooking it up all you have to do is find the best place to mount the cameras, attach them to vehicles and apply the appropriate 12V power and ground the power cords for each camera and monitor. Total installation time was around 2 hours as I made some modifications to cover the old mounting holes left over from removing the original black and white camera and monitor. I like having two cameras for much more situational awareness. So basically here are the cameras out of the box, install and power on each one, install the monitor and power on and you're done.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Not the best
