Review on πŸ“± OtterBox SYMMETRY SERIES for Microsoft Surface Pro 3 - Clear/Slate Grey - Retail Packaging by Mitchell Watson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Offers are fairly limited as the Pro 3 is outdated.

and wanted a solid case that would offer some protection. The offerings are already pretty limited as the Pro 3 is obsolete and was discontinued when it was 3 or 4 years old. But OtterBox is still my number one choice. I've been using Otterbox Defender for my iPhones for years. I have always loved and preferred chance. Sure. When I saw this one for the Surface Pro 3, I felt comfortable enough to stop searching and buy it right away. The cover consists of two parts. One for the tablet itself and a Smart Keyboard case that you bought separately or that came with your Surface. When assembled, you get a clamshell case. The case is actually pretty cute, but I wish it had a little more rubber to give it a fuller protective case feel. Just like the defender's fall line. But this case is made entirely of hard plastic, and the corners and edges are made of thin rubber. I don't see it offering much protection if it falls from any distance. The tablet fits quite loosely in its case half. Just plug it in. The button covers feel stiff and unwieldy as you almost have to tap them for the tablet's buttons to respond (power, volume up/down). The ports are wide open and have no rubber plugs. They are therefore easy to evaluate even though they are not protected. The end of the end. Am I satisfied with the Symmetry Series Case for Surface Pro 3? Yes. I really wish there was room for a Surface Pen.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • I bought a Surface Pro 3 for an old
