Review on Under Cabinet Lighting: Energy-Efficient Dimmable LED Halogen Replacement by Sidewinders Murphy

I installed these in a GE Overrange Microwave/Function Hood (model 2015 JVM7195) to replace the 'surface lights' of 40 watt incandescent bulbs. The first impression is very favorable due to the color "Natural White" and the light output. At only 3 watts I gave them 5 stars for energy efficiency but as I have no idea how long they will last I only gave them 3 stars. Since replacing all the lightbulbs in my house with LEDs, I've found that virtually no brand lasts the lifespan advertised on the packaging. The fact that they come in packs of 6 makes me a little nervous about how long they will last, especially in areas where they will be exposed to the heat of the hob. The surface light switch on the microwave has two positions and in the down position the flicker is so low it's almost invisible (my wife said she can see it) and I could use it in that position with no problem. Due to the orientation of the lamp sockets and their proximity to the glass cover, this is the largest LED lamp (length of this lamp type increases with wattage) that will fit in this microwave/hood model.
