Review on 🔧 Dewhel Manual Gear Shifter Lever Shift Knob Boot Retainer/Adapter - 12X1.25 (Black) by Ron Patel

When I found this trunk lock I was very excited because it was so much cheaper than the American Muscle website and it was the perfect color match for my blue 2013 Mustang GT. . After seeing a description that said "new Mustangs" and a few rave reviews from people who had this installed on their 2013 Mustangs, the purchase was a no-brainer. But when I finally got it (it took 4 days for Prime 2 days shipping) and installed it definitely didn't fit. The thread was 12mm x 1.25 but the base of the holder was too small to fit the trunk opening. You can see what I'm talking about in the photos. But unfortunately it was the only holder that was suitable for this beautiful blue aluminum. So I got the idea to go to a hardware store and find a big, thick o-ring to slip between the boot and the bracket to fill that unsightly gap. I spent over an hour and 2 shops before realizing they don't have the size for it. But out of sheer determination to find a solution, I found some black rubber non-slip furniture pads. And bought a pack of 1-1/2" pads, cut out the middle enough to fit the smaller bottom flange, and voila! Look at the picture with my solution. I didn't know how to do this based on my experience nice item but they really need to update the description so others don't assume this is what they need to tie their gear knob to the trunk and find out it's not optimal like in my case .
