I originally bought the ME01 headphones but I did before the newer updated model came out. The newer ME01s had a better finish that allowed wax buildup not to affect the sound, according to M&D. I had no luck trying the newer ME01s simply because I was upgraded to a pair of ME03s when I shipped the ME01s due to audio issues (no sulfur buildup, audio quality just degraded quickly). The ME03 headphones are fantastic and if you want quality headphones with great customer service buy a pair. Personally, I would point out that this type of headphone is probably not suitable for use with any type of workout, unless you are going for comfortable long hikes, walks, maybe cycling, etc. In my opinion, these headphones are for leisurely use designed. .
