Review on Timex Fairfield 41mm Unisex Watch by Michelle Frey

I'll start by saying that this watch immediately became one of my favorite watches. It was my favorite watch for a while and I enjoyed switching between multiple bands. The large, clean white dial was really attractive and looked good in both casual and business use. Unfortunately, I immediately noticed some time-wasting issues. I accidentally looked down and noticed that my watch was out of sync from a few minutes to a few hours. It wasn't often, so I just dealt with it. However, at one point I decided to see if I could use the warranty to fix this issue. I have contacted Timex to discuss this matter. After several rounds of questions, apparently aimed at finding out if the battery was dead due to excessive use of the Indigo feature, I finally received an RMA. However, I quickly discovered that the guarantee wasn't really free and that I would have to pay for shipping to Timex as well as $8 for "refund processing". As you can imagine, the shipping cost is + $8 for processing time. This cheapness is kind of insulting and just not a good use of my money. I decided to just deal with wasting my time. Well, a few months later (and ONLY AFTER 1 year of *limited* warranty) I look down one day and find that the watch's crown is completely missing. I have no idea what happened to it or where it came off. At the moment I can't even set the time, time is actually lost. So the watch is pretty much useless. As much as I love the look of them and want to buy new ones, I feel like I'm just throwing money in the trash as I don't expect the watch to last more than a year. You might assume watches are cheap enough now to be a one-off, annual item, but then again, why would I want to continue to be a part of this one-off culture that we've all seemed to embrace lately? I think I'll skip it and look for a better alternative. Update: added some photos. It reminded me how easily this watch can be scratched. All in all it was a big disappointment.
