A lot of reviews say they attached string and it flew fine.My kite did not fly fine, I had to work with the length of string to get it to fly properly.it started out flying wildly from side to side and crashing.The string provided is not strong enough, had to go by a spool of heavier string with longer length, also bought my own wind up spool for easier the up and take down.don't buy this kite if you are not willing to work on it, take your chance if it flies properly out of the package.
