Review on Lixit Quick Lock Cage, Crate, and 🐢 Kennel Bowls: Convenient and Secure Feeding Solutions for Dogs by Jerry Mangum

Almost perfect, but wobbles in the mount even when clicked in place.

For years my parrot (grey parrot) has had tons of food falling onto the bottom of the cage or even out of the cage, wasting a lot of money. I've noticed that he likes to eat and chew his food with his foot and of course no lips, most just flew off to the side whether he was standing on a perch or the food bowl. So I tried one of those 40-ounce bowls and moved his perch just an inch so he had to stand on the bowl while eating. BINGO! Most of the food didn't go in his mouth, but went back into that big bowl. The amount of food thrown away has been drastically reduced. I replaced all of his food bowls with these 40 ounce bowls, which were also easier to remove for regular cleaning than the ones attached to the side of his cage. WARNING: The 40 ounce stainless steel and granite bowls don't fully snap into place, they're quite loose and wobble so he didn't like standing on them. So until the manufacturer fixes this problem, buy pink plastic bowls.

Pros
  • FITS MOST CAGES: The easy screw on/off design securely fits most horizontal or vertical cage rails, chain links and pins with the included hardware.
Cons
  • Out of fashion
