Large bowl for dogs or parrots

I actually used this pot to bathe birds in my cockatoo cage. I needed something big enough for him to fit in but small enough to fit in the cage. It had to snap into place and be something that a crafty cockatoo couldn't unscrew or take apart (he's really good at that!). It worked great. We have to be careful that he doesn't see us turning the bowl because the way it's set up you only have to turn the bowl to unlock or lock it, so you can take out the bowl to clean it and refill and replace…

Almost perfect but also wobbles when it clicks in the holder

For many years I have always had tons of food for my parrot (grey parrot) falling on the bottom of the cage or even out of the cage wasting tons of money. I've noticed that he likes to eat and chew his food with his foot and of course no lips, most just flew off to the side whether he was standing on a perch or the food bowl. So I tried one of those 40-ounce bowls and moved his perch just an inch so he had to stand on the bowl while eating. BINGO! Most of the food didn't go in his mouth, but…

At first I was enthusiastic about this bowl. Several foster dogs came and went through our home using this water jug with great success. It simply unscrews from the base, the bowl stays in place to keep dogs from wallowing in the water.
