I used this jar to bathe the birds in my cockatoo's cage. I needed something big enough for him to fit in but small enough to fit in the cage. It had to snap and be something a crafty cockatoo couldn't unscrew or take apart (he's really good at that!). It worked great. We have to be careful that he doesn't see us turning the bowl, because the way it's set up you just have to turn the bowl to unlock or lock it, so you can take out the bowl to clean it and refill and replace without removing the entire lock and assembly each time. Makes water changes very easy. It's strong, strong enough to hold on to a cage and won't be ruined by a chewing dog unless a parrot with a stronger bite can break it. Overall this is a great bowl and we will buy it again if or when we need another.
