Review on Lixit Quick Lock Cage, Crate, and 🐶 Kennel Bowls: Convenient and Secure Feeding Solutions for Dogs by Sandra Reyes

If your dog is non-destructive and surprisingly smart, this bowl will last you a long time.

At first I was enthusiastic about this bowl. Several foster dogs came and went through our home using this water jug with great success. It simply unscrews from the base, the bowl stays in place to keep dogs from wallowing in the water. I liked that these are iron rings that hold water bowls, I heard that some dogs got stuck in these bowls and hurt themselves. So why three stars? One day we are getting our 8 lb dog. She didn't get along well with other dogs and we decided she needed her own space for the day. We put our little dog in a kennel, saved water for her, we were gone for two hours, and when we got home the bottom of the pot was broken into small pieces. I have no idea how she did it, but the shard was intact, the base was destroyed. I can't understand that with the best will in the world. If you have a crafty or destructive dog, this water bowl may not be for you. Most of our dogs did fine with this bowl and even after this bowl broke a bit we bought another one. But the next time she needs to be quarantined, we'll have to use an industrial-grade water dish.
