Review on πŸ‘Ά Baby Jogger City Select LUX Stroller: Versatile 20-Way Ride Baby Stroller, Easily Converts from Single to Double Stroller, Quick Fold Design, Slate by Dale Rylander

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Didn't know if I should give 4 or 5 stars.

So this is my first rather expensive stroller. I mean, I don't make cheap strollers, but I've never spent that much. My last twin stroller was the Contour Options stroller. Has served us for a good 4 years. I LOVE the large storage basket and all the seating configurations and to be honest I almost bought a newer version of this stroller because it's half the price of this one but my husband hated the size. Although to be honest it didn't really bother me. So I decided to look for the smallest double stroller with the same or better seat configuration. This stroller overhangs the contour by a few inches and has more configurations available. It comes with fewer accessories, but you can buy more later. It's good, but also a shame because of the extra charge. Treadmills for kids seem to be pretty well made. i love fabric The seats feel spacious and comfortable. In fact, my 2 year old didn't want to get out when I first tried it. The ride is smooth and maneuverability is comfortable even in tight spaces. I could walk down the hall in my house and get in and out of the rooms without too much trouble. If you gain maneuverability due to the compact size of this stroller, you lose accessibility and use of all of the stroller's features. With both seats facing forward, you can't recline them all the way back (at least with two older kids in the seats). If both seats are facing forward, you cannot fold both seats to the closed position without removing, folding, and reinserting the front seat. To be honest if you want to fold it as compact as possible I would detach the front seat and fold it down. Fold the stroller and place the front seat on the stroller. It fits nicely on top and saves more space than if it were attached and saves you the hassle of attaching and reattaching the seat just to unfold it. The advantage of this stroller is that it can be folded with the seats in any configuration (albeit in an upright position). The compactness of folding depends on the configuration of the seats. According to my contour, the seats should face forward when in an upright position. I played around with the seat configurations and stacked them all to see which is the most comfortable, compact and takes into account all of the stroller's features. I found the best position for us was with the seats facing opposite directions. This allowed access to the shopping cart. It also allowed both seats to be reclined, giving the sidecar the smallest footprint during use. Both seats can be folded, and while they're not the most compact when closed, you can still use the space between the seats for storage if you need to fill the back of the car. So that's the position I want to use primarily. The reason I decided to give this stroller 4 stars instead of 5 was not for accessibility because I understand that if you want the most compact stroller you have to make compromises, but because of the issues with using the buttons. The tilt buttons were difficult to use and sometimes hard to access. The folding mechanism of the stroller was a problem. You have to shake and wiggle it somehow before it comes out of the locked position to fold. It was annoying. I also don't like how high the second seat rises when folded down. I suppose that's why you can fold it into any seating configuration, but it seems too high. We will also use this stroller with a glider. The advantage of a glide board is that it folds up fairly easily with the stroller. My 5 year old can sit or stand on it comfortably. I am very happy that I bought it. We also bought a cool box that attaches to the stroller. It does not need to be removed even when the stroller is folded, even with a sliding board attached. I think it will be useful. I currently use this stroller with 2, 4 and 6 year olds (who are quite petite for their age. They are short and all under 40 pounds). I imagine this stroller will be tight for big kids. We are going on a trip to Legoland and I will report after the trip. I am also pregnant with my 4th child and will be using this stroller with a newborn. I don't like that this stroller doesn't have a car seat adapter like my Contour does, but it does. To be honest if size weren't an issue I would have gone for the new contour options but it was, so the kids joggers were the right choice and I'm very happy with my purchase.
