Such a great jacket! We were pheasant hunting in Kansas in January and needed two jackets for our two dogs. We ordered so many and returned all but this one. A Filson didn't fit properly and was only secured with velcro, an Orvis fitted oddly (tight under the chest and huge around the neck) and was weak velcro again, the neoprenes didn't fit at all (tight again). chest and huge neck) and many others did not work. We have a 43lb. leveling setter and a 57 lb. english setters Both are deep chested and very physically fit (not overweight at all). The size grid of this jacket is very large. We had to downsize both of them or there would be too much material at the back (looks like they're wearing a dress and I wanted to make sure they didn't hit anything in the field). A size smaller they fit perfectly from the neck to their story. This jacket is so individual it's just amazing. The back can be pulled down to give it a little lift, there are two areas at the neck that can be pulled down if needed and the strap that goes around the chest is very loose. The strap that goes around the chest can also be fastened under the jacket if you need to hide the strap (I didn't want to risk anything snagging on it so it went under the jacket). Also, of all the dogs tried on, they both liked this one. Others just didn't want to move after putting them on, but this one had them jumping around happily and I didn't mind if I put it on them. It's also easy to put on, just slip it over your head and fasten the straps. It has two straps (one for each leg) in the back that go around each leg to hold the thing up and they create no friction at all. They have a warm fleece inside and the puppies have been fine in 11 degree weather with snow on the ground. These jackets have no scratches anywhere and the bright orange color is perfect for seeing my kids from afar.
