There are a few things I look for in a portable speaker. Perhaps the most important thing for me is ease of use. I want to be able to run this and connect bluetooth to my tablet pc without taking my eyes off the road when I'm speeding down the freeway fifteen times and passing a cop on the right. I want the controls to be simple and intuitive. I want the speaker to be easy to use, last a long time and have decent sound quality. It meets most of these requirements. Unfortunately, he loses most of the points in intuition. Controls have X and O. Why isn't it + and -? Or even 0 and 1? X and O make no sense in the area of speaker control. However, they do everything you're supposed to do: volume up/down, fast forward/rewind, etc. The sound is good enough for a small speaker, but the bass weight is pretty ridiculous. I know most units are a bit tinny and a more realistic sound tends to be a bit heavier in the bass, but this one feels a lot heavier. There doesn't seem to be a security code for pairing (but since all manufacturers set it to 0000 anyway, I'm not sure if that matters). This means you probably shouldn't use it as a speaker for sensitive stuff. YMMV. While the charge is decent. And I'm glad the adapter is more standard microUSB than miniUSB on another portable speaker I have. It definitely makes charging easier.
