This is the perfect shower because we have a monstrously large pipe and none of the usual suspects fit. It's also far from the water flow so I don't understand why it started fading and is now mostly mottled black and looks awful. After cleaning the shower you want everything to shine, but of course that's an eyesore. It's fully functional even without the suction cups (the non-slip ring does the job), but it's hard not to throw it in the trash. Which I'll do once I find a replacement (again with a big whistle). I have a lot of InterDesign stuff and nothing like this has ever happened before, so I won't give up that line entirely, but I won't buy it twice (too late to return).
