Review on Aquarium Reegugu Rechargeable Portable Powerful by Donnie Hickok

Good to have in the event of a power outage

Power outages can be stressful when it comes to fish. One thing that is most important is maintaining oxygen levels in the aquarium water. This pump is great for that. CHARGING Remove the pump door and it leads to the USB charger. It's a Micro-USB connector, not a Type-C. It took several hours to fully charge. HOW TO TURN IT ON. You press the firm top edge of the screen onto the power button. This turns the device on. The bar at the top turns green. FEET The feet are rubberized to reduce movement and vibration. CLIP There is a clip on the back of this pump so you can clip it or hang it instead of placing it on the countertop. CHANGE Pressing the power button a second time gives you an intermittent setting where the airflow comes on a bit and then intermittently shuts off again. The blue indicator at the end of the green bar will light up to let you know. again for a while. DOES THIS WORK WELL? It definitely works fine. I have multiple tanks so I can stick the air stone and hose (with check valve) in one tank for a while and then move them to another (be careful not to turn it off). I leave it. in intermittent mode to save battery power. NOISE? It's not loud at all, in fact I have plug in pumps that are louder. PROBLEM. It's very easy to accidentally turn it on. You must be very careful not only to wear it, but also to store it in a way that it is not accidentally pushed into the on position. BATTERY LIFE That lasts part of the day if I run it intermittently. However, I haven't let it run fully discharged at the moment. I always charge after about 6 or 7 hours. RESULTS This is an excellent pump that comes in handy in the event of a power outage. If necessary, it can be charged via a power bank if you always have several on hand.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Good but not great
