Review on πŸ‘’ Optimized Arma Cross Country Boots - Front by Anatoly Yorgason

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Poor fit/design

I bought a full set of these - the hind legs fit well and stay in place (see my other review). The front gaiters are well designed with a channel to retain tendons and ligaments along the back of the legs, but this channel does not prevent the gaiters from curling around my horse's front legs. I had to rearrange them in the middle of long riding trials and towards the end (at 6 minutes) they twisted again. Full length front boots almost fit cob size. My horse is 16.0hh with light bones and short guns and they were almost too small. I wonder if they made a mistake in storage? The positive thing is that they don't get wet, don't slip off the leg and don't leave any chafing marks on the ankle joints. I can order another set a size up and see how they perform as they appear to be well made and the boots are comfortable for my horse.

Pros
  • Prevention: Prevents your horse from overextending the hind leg
Cons
  • A small crease
