Paper thin plastic that breaks during use.
A short list of the many ways I've broken them so far: 1: Falling onto the linoleum about a foot off the ground. 2: Accidental nail grabbing while gently washing hands. 3: Put the coffee cup on the cup in the sink. 3:.Wrong look at her? Cracks appear randomly for no apparent reason. They don't really match the photos. I believe the seller took a photo of a higher quality version of the item. I don't recommend buying these unless you're happy to have a container to use for a meal break during use.
