This is a completely different massage device. Instead of massaging through physical manipulation, it electrically stimulates the throat through regular pulses. I think the purpose is to stimulate the nerves and help them relax. I was skeptical at first, but after several 15 minute sessions I believed. Afterwards, my sore throat felt much better. There are 3 pulse modes: acupuncture, which actually looks like little needles; Beating is a steady knock-knock impulse; Combo mode, which is a combination of different impulses, similar to a massage. I like the combo mode the most - it's so calming. There are 15 intensity levels for each mode. They start very quietly and get quite persistent, so much so that I can't stand it at the higher levels. I currently use level 4 when working on my computer and that's enough for me. I don't want the impulses to be so strong that I can't concentrate on my work. You can also apply heat to any of the modes. I love it. It's a mild warmth, but it's really comfortable. The manufacturer provides good instructions. You must wet your neck before putting it on to ensure good contact with the electrodes and there are some safety caveats. The device appears to be well assembled and the remote works well to control the device. You turn on the device with the switch on one side and then control it with the remote control. The device is lightweight and a carrying case is included so it can really be carried around. Both the massager and the remote control are rechargeable and a USB charging cable is included. Using it before bed is a great way to relax before bed. Love this massager - definitely worth a try if you're struggling with tension or neck pain.
