I was looking for the best (perfect would be nice, but.) TWE in the under $150 price range. I mainly use them for watching TV, listening to audiobooks while cycling, listening to podcasts and listening to music (I have headphones designed for serious music listening). I started my search with the Anker Soundcore series because I have used their other products for years and found their quality to be above average for the money. My first encounter with the world of TWE was the Soundcore Life A1. I still have them and for the money they're hard to beat. Small, handy, with a long battery life and a tiny tablet charger. I've also used them for making calls and they were great for that, but I hardly ever make calls. Next we use the Soundcore Life A2 NC because I wanted to try the noise cancellation. I didn't really need the NC but thought it would reduce wind noise when riding. It's not like this. It was also impossible to fit them securely into my odd ears. I've tried all sorts of tips and wings, but sometimes they fall out (once in the compost heap when flipping this monster). So you choose these Liberty 2 Pros again. At first I was very disappointed. The useless equalizer settings of the 10 Grammy winners are ridiculous. And as with all TWEs so far, none of them give me the volume my 70 year old ears need, but at least they have the ability to push the EQ to +6dB across the board, which helps with normal listening. . They also came with ear tips, maybe better for a big mouse or maybe a small cat and there was no chance they would stay so I replaced them with a bigger set (there are 7 sizes to choose from, all silicone π’ ), and they came. now it is better. They're significantly heavier than the Life A1, but over time we'll see how reliable they are. I would like them to offer some foam tip options and I will be trying some Delkoni tips in the near future. The Astoria Aural's coaxial architecture sounds good. Not bad for BGVP DM6, but not bad for Bluetooth. AptX is decent, pairing was easy, wireless charging is good, and the packaging was phenomenal for the price. I have purchased a refurbished set and can't tell it apart from brand new ones. There's really no other place for the Soundcore line, so we'll see. There will be updates if anything changes.
