Review on Elastic Dust Ruffles in King Size - White 16-Inch Drop Wrap Around Bed Skirts: Easy Fit and Bedskirt Dust Ruffles by Dominique Phillips

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Love it so much (I HAVE A FLEX-FIT NUMBER 360 BED)

I can't believe how quickly this came, a month ahead of the prediction. The company stayed "with me" the entire time via the Revain communications network. When I opened the plastic packaging, the skirt had a very unpleasant chemical smell, but that ALMOST disappeared after washing. I'm very sensitive to smells (having a weird allergic reaction) but the slight smell that lingers after washing was pretty tolerable. Maybe because the skirt is far from my face. I suspect that the very slight smell will dissipate over time. (already). The fabric is quite shiny, almost like satin. This works great for me. However, I think it would work well with rustic all-cotton bedding as well. Ironed so-so, but hangs well. I'm a bit picky about ironing but this doesn't really require ironing unless you're that picky. The main thing here is that it's as close to ideal as possible for a Flex-Fit bed. I did NOT want a skirt that covers the entire base as it is difficult to change for washing etc. THE ONLY REASON I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the ribs are too loose. I had to tie it in three separate knots to keep it tight enough to fit my full sized bed and it still doesn't quite fit. If the elastic continues to stretch, I need to sew the back. I have a feeling the gum is old and/or cheap quality. It feels like it could fall apart at any moment. (On the other hand, this floor-length skirt would probably fit just fine in a queen-size bed — maybe even a king-size due to the very elastic waistband.) I'd still recommend it, but I'd also recommend you tie it together before you put it around the bed; It's hard to do after it's on.

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
