Purchased in August 2019 after finding out my new smart TV didn't have a 3.5mm audio out. Here is my review of the product: Connectivity: Easy to connect and that's probably the best thing about this product. Connect the power cable, the optical audio cable from the TV to the converter, and the 3.5mm audio cable to the audio output. Remote control: As already mentioned, not the best remote control. Either the IR remote isn't very strong or the receiver is the problem, but since the remote stopped working after less than a year (despite trying some new CR2025 batteries) I'll say the remote is the problem. Without a remote control, there is no point in buying this product. Receiver: Works well, but nothing special. Turning up the volume seems big. Therefore, please make sure that the volume of your audio device is set correctly. It will take time to understand this. In general, a simple DAC with a remote control, although the remote control is not the best. Mine died less than a year later. So keep that in mind although the remote control isn't the best.
