Highly recommend this A/D converter. Works great, doesn't get hot at all and it fixed a small issue I was dealing with. I bought a Roku Streambar to use as computer speakers (the sound is amazing and you get the huge bonus of being able to stream TV channels straight to your monitor). But I also wanted the Roku Streambar to automatically play my regular computer audio—and to do that, I needed a way to convert the analog signal from my PC's 3.5mm port into an optical digital signal for the Roku Streambar's Toslink port to convert Voila! This device solved the problem perfectly. I'm using a 3.5mm RCA stereo cable from the computer's audio port to the A/D converter. I then have an optical audio cable that comes out of the converter and goes into the back of the Roku Streambar. Now I automatically upload audio from my computer directly to the streaming panel. It works fantastically well and the sound quality is second to none. (Just remember to enable bass boost in the streaming control panel to fully enjoy the subwoofer! It's amazing.)
