I've read a lot of reviews about it not being as bright as regular white light, but I also wanted a round output for LED lighting since my square RGB panel is usually used for mixing of two or more panels is used. However, the overall build quality and the way the transformer is built into the bottom of the unit keeps you from tripping over the bulky transformer typically found on the AC cord itself. And I'm not sure most people will be using DMX functionality to control lighting in a professional setting, so there's another consideration when people say this device is expensive, but you actually can with this light do a lot. for RGB functionality. I already have 200W, 150W LED lights, others 100W or less, so I never bought them as my primary light source. Controlling the application with the GVM application is amazing. Once Wi-Fi is enabled on the device itself, I simply connect to it and have on-the-fly control of brightness, color, saturation and other settings. There are no lags, making control easy. This is also important when the light is set and I don't have to turn off the light to change the setting. So overall I'm very happy with the purchase. Again, think about what the light offers for the price rather than something that doesn't make you happy. RGB is perfect. DMX functionality, if you need it for lighting control, is of course required. White light is bright enough for me. Just my two cents!
