to add another accessory order for my iPad. I have to say that this thing appears to be a very honest, useful little thing that lets you attach a stylus to your iPad for easy portability. For that I take 5 stars as fair: the price and value of being able to tape your Apple Pencil to your iPad whether you use it in a case or not outweighs any future downsides I haven't seen with this little guy yet. I bought my iPad 9.7 in 2018 as a portable sketchbook and laptop. I'm still kind of an amateur artist and all the big illustrations I do I prefer to do on my PC. As a result, I don't use the pen that often that I can't afford the 30 minutes it takes to fully charge it, which I can do without disrupting my workflow too much. So I couldn't even justify the upgrade to the extent that it was used for my crafting. So I turned to this grip as an alternative to using the uncomfortable, bulky adhesive grip or case attached to my case. I am very happy with my decision. The grip snaps to both the long edges of the iPad itself (although I found the edge under the power button to be a bit stronger), my smart cover, and my third-party. folding case. Of course the magnets wear out over time - no matter how long it takes - but for $10 I'm quite willing to replace them maybe once or twice in 5 years, I'm hoping to keep my iPad 9.7 until the last update . . Also, I can leave the lid on my iPad while carrying it around - something I couldn't do except with frankly ugly sticky solutions. 100% recommend, especially if you want the basic utility of storing a pen with your iPad but without the $700+ price tag to upgrade your pen and iPad. Will probably keep another one in a different color as a backup if/when that one fails or gets damaged.
