Ideal replacement at half the cost of Mercury. Since I change my pump every year I can't comment on how it performs year after year. I tell all my friends with Mercury engines to replace the engine or you will change the engine. Mercury pumps settle for a period of time after tuning, significantly reducing the amount of water needed to cool the engine, causing overheating and, if left unchecked, engine failure.
