The real McCoy! for household items

These cleaning pads are made of pure copper. Most pads in stores are STEEL with a copper coating. Steel will scratch anything these don't scratch. Copper is much softer than steel. You also won't find them rusting and wet-deposited after a few uses. You can use them on cast iron skillets as long as you don't overdo it. You can also use them in chrome. Steel wool can scratch chrome no matter how thin it is. Also, steel wool will leave tiny bits of steel in chrome holes or rust spots, and if it gets wet, the steel will rust.
