I rarely give 5 star reviews that don't include 'for the price'. I think people should get used to the idea that you can't expect five star quality for a two star price. Still, I love this chair. Seems very strong. It was well packaged with multiple layers of paper, bubble wrap, foam, and cardboard. The hardest part of assembly was removing the packaging, which took less than ten minutes. It's very convenient - for me it's the main thing as it's been two weeks since my prostate surgery. I bought it from the store as a work chair and it's great. The seat is plastic and the backrest doesn't adjust back and forth at all - even in this case it suits me very well. If it continues to work well I might buy a shorter one with wheels for my office. This could be a good bar stool if you have a techno-industrial decor. UPDATE: I installed some fender washers under the front of the seat mounting ring. As a result, the seat tilted back slightly. This greatly improved the "sitting" of the chair. It also put the back in a better position. I can add another puck.
