Overall this case was a positive experience. It offers more than enough protection against scratches and adds a nice touch to your MacBook. My only two complaints are these. First, the price. $80 for two pieces of plastic is insane. Sure, it adds "protection" to your MacBook, but if you drop your laptop while it's open, even this thing doesn't protect the hinges from damage. And if you drop it with a closed one, it adds protection "OK". The second issue I have with this case is how it opens. You have to pry it around the corners and lift it up, because when it's closed it latches so it doesn't accidentally open. It's not really annoying, it just bothers me every time I use my laptop. To be honest I bought this case because I've always used UAG cases on my phones and decided to see how this case is. Finally, one piece of advice I would give to anyone purchasing this case is the following. Be careful when trying to take it off. Make sure your computer is clean and free of anything that looks like fingerprints, which can drive you nuts and make you want to remove the case after turning it on. This case can be very difficult to remove and I can see it would be very easy to damage your laptop screen if you try to remove it.
