I have some magnetic (niobium) hooks that stick very well to the metal walls of my old trailer. I use the hooks to hang the Christmas lights, which of course aren't very heavy, but they make great magnets and I figured they'd do a video call in my RV by my gate so I could keep people out. my yard without knowing they were here. The problem is that two of those magnets can't hold my video doorbell! It slides across the metal like those magnets just can't keep it there! I don't know why as the doorbell itself isn't that heavy at all but to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I'm going to try 3M double sided tape as I don't want to punch holes in the metal skin of my RV. Now that I have a box of these little magnets I need to see if there is something else I can use them with that will work.
