My 2000 RV had old Indonesian bolts stuck loosely in the box making it almost impossible to turn on and off. I don't wash my clothes too often so I wanted to replace the old valves with quarter turn ball valves and also ditch the flexible 1/2"30" long threaded ips ball valve fittings like the ones you see for sinks and showers. that went from the floor to the old valves. One of the hoses started to leak where it connects to the CPVC on the floor so I ran the CPVC to the new valves, removed those flex lines and ran from the CPVC to the new valves. The old plastic box was larger than the new one, so the hole in the wall was too big to fit the new box, about an inch or two on all sides. I used a 3/4 inch piece of chipboard to install the new access panel to make a very strong box and did not use the flimsy plastic zip ties that came with this kit. I marked where the cuts should be made and drilled 8 holes in each corner as shown in the picture and sawed the rest to fit the box snug and snug. The hoses on the machine are still fine and as I keep the valves closed when not in use I have decided to leave them for the time being and ended up buying a set of braided steel lines which I saw on Amazon for a great price have. If you are purchasing this set or any other set of plastic boxes I recommend using a piece of plywood like I did to fit the box tightly because it just makes everything so much better and doesn't feel fragile. I also recommend To have access to a control panel below for future service or valve replacement Keep the valves closed if you can as most AND insurance claims stem from broken washing machine hoses and these valves make it easy to turn them off when not in use, as well unplugging the machine because mine was destroyed by lightning a few years ago I had to order timer replacement parts, which cost $140, and disassemble my washing machine. All of this can be avoided by simply turning off the washing machine when not in use.
