So let's talk about some of the positive aspects here. You get 99% sRGB color gamut, so colors look great when editing photos or videos. It has a 75Hz refresh rate, which isn't surprising, but at least it's not 60Hz like most budget monitors. This is a VA panel that delivers the best contrast ratio even when compared to an IPS panel. So why is this one of the most expensive 24-inch monitors on the market at the time of this review (10/01/2022)? In comparison, I just can't understand why there are other monitors on the market. For example, you can get the LG 26WQ500, a 26-inch ultra-wide monitor with a resolution of 2560 x 1080 and a refresh rate of 160 Hz. This LG monitor is only $149-$179 depending on current sales. I just don't see the value here at $199. If the monitor ever goes on sale and drops around $50, it could be a pretty good deal, but only if contrast ratio is the most important factor. And while an IPS panel doesn't have as good a contrast ratio as a VA panel, a VA panel doesn't have as good a response time as an IPS panel either. If you are fairly unfamiliar with the Jlink brand, you must have a good reason to buy your monitor, especially if your monitor is more expensive than other companies like Samsung. BenQ or Dell. Right now, at the current price of $199, I just don't see a good enough reason to buy it over more established competitors.
