Overall a good synthetic fill for the price and a good color match. Easily erased. Pros: good price, many colors (red suits photos). Down/thickness is good, softness is ok. Definitely offers good padding. The pieces are long enough for a large halter (I had to trim a few pieces to fit smaller and that was fine). Velcro is narrow and stiff but durable. I just toss them in the washing machine with my other laundry and have had no problems. Cons: The thread used for sewing is cheap cotton thread and is sewn with a loose single stitch. The stitching on one piece broke when I undid the velcro for the second or third time, so I had to sew it back up before using it. The hard side of the Velcro is very tough, so be careful when laying the padding. I had to adjust it a few times and finally steam down the pieces so they lay a certain way so the velcro wouldn't sit on my horse's face and cause a wound.
