Review on Dream Baby Appliance Lock Refrigerator by Carrie Spencer

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Pretty useless.

So we bought this item to keep our 2 (almost 3) daughter off the fridge. We already had a Safety First fridge that lasted about 6 months before the lock was blown. No kidding, it fell on my wife and made such a loud noise I thought it was a gun. So we spent several months thinking about what to take next. All this time our daughter is literally reaching into the fridge for food and wreaking havoc. So we looked at the options and read the reviews. We thought the mother of an autistic child would be full of it. But she's partly right. This product didn't last 5 minutes but a week, before we figured out what was wrong. It seems that with this lock all you have to do is pull the fridge handle and the lock will click. Then comes chaos season in the fridge. So after 2 weeks of using the product, our daughter, in her usual 2 year rage, removed the clasp. That's right, the kid disassembled something that took me about 2 hours. Not only is the adhesive residue and the latch/clasp weak, the locking pins won't engage either. I'm done with the locks and just need to keep them off the fridge the old fashioned way. Tell her that the monster will come to her from the fridge. J/K Seriously I'm done with these products, they don't last long and aren't worth the money even though they're cheap. Maybe that's a good sign, now I can ask her to get me something from the fridge while I cook. That's right, the kid disassembled something that took about 2 hours.
