Review on πŸ’» HDMI KVM Switch: Share Keyboard, Mouse, and More between 2 Computers at 4K@30Hz with USB Support by Paul Tucker

Very easy to use MKB+Monitor switch

So I've been looking for one like this for a while. I didn't like having two keyboards on my desk. I kept procrastinating because I didn't want to spend a lot of money either, and pretty much every single one of these MKB switches in this price range had some disturbing and seemingly honest negative reviews. This guy had his fair share, but I noticed they were primarily for the Display Port SKU and not HDMI distortion. So basically I had 2 DPs and 1 HDMI going from my main PC to my monitors. HDMI goes to the 3rd shared monitor via this switch. The second computer has HDMI which also toggles and then to the same monitor. The Red Dragon keyboard and the Logitech mouse can be connected to both. Once everything was connected, I took double sided tape and stuck the main body of this device under my desk. The little toggle switch, which I have to say felt very nice out of the box, is on the top of my desk towards the back. This works very well 90% of the time. I don't turn on my second computer very often, but it's nice to have one when I need it for something specific. The other 10% or so of the time, the monitor behaves strangely. Either a black screen for about a second every 10 seconds, or another monitor keeps disconnecting that isn't even connected to the Switch and quickly reconnecting. However, this 10% error can usually be corrected another 90% of the time by simply pressing the toggle switch 1 or 2 times. The mouse and keyboard function works great and as needed. Overall I think I'm overall happy with this purchase for the price. Mind you, I'm checking the HDMI SKU. Looking closely at the other reviews, most seem happy with this SKU as well. The negative reviews, at least at my last look, are for the DisplayPort (DP) version. Be careful.
