I am the manager of maintenance at a 170 bed nursing home. Almost two years ago we installed about sixty T5 fluorescent lamps in newly renovated bathrooms. They all use this ballast. After one year and 9 months, about four of them failed completely. In addition, premature lamp failure appears to have occurred in many luminaires. It could be lamps but I've tried two different brands and I'm starting to doubt it. All lighting on our 1st floor has been replaced. simultaneously. About two hundred more fluorescent lamps were installed with other types of ballasts. Only one ballast of these lamps is still defective.
