Installation is troublesome

Had to replace the ballast with the exact same product as the old one broke after 13 years of use. Installation was painful as the design of the lamp does not allow for easy access and the length of the wires was short

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Damaged

Fulham workhorse one not two

Please note if you order a single pack you will receive the ballast pictured under the single pack NOT the Fulham Workhorse 2 pictured under the twin pack. My app was still working fine - at least for the last 24 hours. Let's see how it will be in the long run.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Exact replacement for my fluorescent lamp PLC Polipo

This is an exact replacement for my Polipo Fluorescent PLC. I almost had to buy a new $300 962SNLED LED version. Instead, $25 and an hour and a half, most of which went into removing the metric nuts holding the ballast in place. My whole family (mainly me) is now happy that they can see in the bathroom.

Pros
  • LAMP COMPATIBILITY: combination of max. 35W; CFS-4P, CFT-4P, CFQ-4P, CFM-4P, Circline, Linear T5 and T8 and 2 x F21T5
Cons
  • No Power

Lamps can quickly fail or burn out the ballast.

I am the manager of maintenance at a 170 bed nursing home. Almost two years ago we installed about sixty T5 fluorescent lamps in newly renovated bathrooms. They all use this ballast. After one year and 9 months, about four of them failed completely. In addition, premature lamp failure appears to have occurred in many luminaires. It could be lamps but I've tried two different brands and I'm starting to doubt it. All lighting on our 1st floor has been replaced. simultaneously. About two hundred…

Pros
  • FEATURES: Universal; Energy Conservation

Works well even when it isn't, and matches original ballast profile

If you're a jack of all trades and a handyman who hates throwing away near-perfect things, then this might be for you. When the utility companies were offering discounts on fluorescent lights many years ago, I took advantage of those deals and bought half a dozen of these floor lamps, one of which used the equivalent of that ballast. This particular fixture has 3 compact fluorescent lamps, each with its own ballast. It doesn't exactly match the size and configuration so I had to drill a new…

Pros
  • COMFORT: Light weight; Small suitcase size
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
