Simple, but don't forget to level it

This wallpaper was very easy to work with. I took apart the kitchen cabinets and put the shelves up. I also have under cabinets. I did great. You should pay attention to a few things. Yes, it breaks very easily so be careful. And you can see through if there are dark lines on the wall. But I had no problems with patterns or pencil lines on the form. So, for those who have never used peel and stick wallpaper, I've shown a few steps. In the first photo, the wall before raising the shelves. You really can't see where the wallpaper lines are unless you're really close. I overlapped the paper 1/8" in case there was some shrinkage. As I said, make sure you align the parer correctly. There is a repeating pattern. As you can see, one pick is aligned and the other not so you can see the difference. This wallpaper is GOOD because it lines up on both sides of the paper. I want left to right. I used a pencil on the wall to mark the guide lines and the lines on the sides of the paper The pencil erases very well on this paper, so I could use pencil lines to identify where I was to the right and left of the paper, I have the blocks on the right side of section 1 with the blocks on the left of the 2nd section aligned. Depending on the length of the wall and if one is longer than the other, you may have extra paper on one end to help you line it up.This is why I would (and others) recommend that you buy at least 1 roll more than you think you will need. It is better to have a replacement and return it. That way your stack will be the same color. I ordered 2 extra rolls. I'm not done yet, so I don't know how much I'll have left. I used the guide on the wall to match the guide on the wallpaper. Before gluing it I would make sure both lines are aligned and on the same layer. I also used a layer for the guides. And a ruler for measuring and marking on paper. I then backed off about 4-5 inches and made sure to line up my lines before gluing the whole thing. It may be a little difficult because you need to stick it on the wall a little bit. It often took several attempts. But it was worth making sure everything was really okay. For me, guidelines save lives. I don't think I would have made it straight without her. Once the pencil line is aligned, press down 4-5 inches, then slowly stroke down and smooth from side to side. Then cut off the excess top and bottom with a office knife. I was very happy with the end results.
