According to the instructions on this mobo you should find a bios version number sticker on top of the bios chip. It looked like it had been taken off and the remnants of the sticker were still stuck to it and the number was not visible. Judging by the QVL for the processors, they had several A12 processors declared compatible with all BIOS versions and I bought them along with a compatible ram on QVL. I always check the bios battery and find it's dead and this isn't the first time. You should always take out and check the bios battery performance with a tester before you start building. When the bios battery is low it won't boot, there's no video output, nothing. From what I've read these mobos don't come with the latest bios like other mobos. Depending on which processor you plan to use, you may need to update or flash the BIOS to the desired version. Make sure you do your homework on flashing the BIOS correctly. This board was dead after all my work. It didn't boot after boot so I was able to look at the bios settings. I returned it for a refund. I believe this board was tampered with and blocked before I received it.
