Review on OtterBox DEFENDER SCREENLESS Samsung Galaxy Cell Phones & Accessories and Cases, Holsters & Clips by Jason Adams

The face of disappointment!

Let me start by saying that I've always been a die-hard OtterBox fan and have bought the Defender series for all of my family's phones, including my own. This is the first time I can honestly say I am extremely disappointed with a product I have purchased. Yes, I bought the case knowing it no longer had a screen, instead I gave OtterBox the benefit of the doubt and bought their Alpha Glass screen protector for the new case. I regret to say that the results were still very disappointing. The cost for two together is $90+. Case - As always, the OtterBox Defender Series for the Galaxy S8 offers excellent protection for the phone's case, but without the screen protector. Well, if you still spend money and buy a case then save your time, your best choice is to buy a soft screen protector. The problem with most tempered glass/plastic screen protectors, such as the OtterBox Alpha Glass screen protector advertised for use with OtterBox cases, is that while it offers maximum protection, it also catches on the hard plastic edges of the case. This means that it often detaches from the phone's screen, requiring the user to constantly press hard on the screen for it to work properly. If you're like me, I promise that after a few days, you'll most likely just throw away that hard glass/plastic screen protector because it's going to be insanely annoying. So in closing I would like to say that without a feature that has always made the OtterBox Defender Series unique and worth its price tag, the Defender Series Case has become just another case that you can easily get from another generic brand for around $10 can buy and get exactly the same level of protection. . I hope the OtterBox designers reconsider the mistake they made and reintegrate the screen protector into the Defender line; It may take a little ingenuity, but it's worth it if you can do it. Otherwise, unfortunately, you just made an overpriced phone case and lost another customer. My advice to any buyer, don't waste your money! This $10 case is absolutely not worth more than $50 of your hard-earned cash without a screen protector. When you pay $50, you know you're only buying the logo on the outside of the box. The rest can be bought much cheaper! Good luck!
