We were very happy with our first purchase of this product . and decided to buy again. Beautiful product design that matches the other lights in our home. Very happy with the bright white light. The installation took literally three minutes. In this case, it looks like we got a previously used block. When opening the Amazon box, the product box was open and the product was partially open. Upon inspection, it was found that the device was scratched all over, had a dent on the edge, one of the lens screw caps had snapped off and was no longer being held. The lower part of the block is greasy, and the wires are clearly twisted - this is a wire nut. Once we saw that it was in use in our laundry room and not very visible, we cleaned the unit, re-stripped the wires for the appropriate nuts, and re-tightened the lens nuts to properly fit the unit. Poor quality control on this second device. But the device works.
