Review on πŸ–€ Black Keyboard Gel Wrist Pad - Belkin F8E263-BLK WaveRest by Russ Conrad

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The constant crackling makes this redesign not worth buying.

I got one of these in 2001 and I still keep it and when I needed a new one I bought it without looking at the reviews because 16 years later I'm perfectly happy with the old one . However, it seems that during these years they decided to remodel it for the worse. Not only is the gel pad hard, as opposed to the softness of the old one, but a kind of plastic bubble wrap is placed underneath. It crackles with every movement of your wrist! I thought I must have stumbled upon a poor quality rug and called Belkin but the lady confirmed it was designed differently and now it is. I returned it for a meager 50 cent compensation but either that or threw it away. Too bad I didn't read the bad reviews. My wish is that when you get something good, nobody rebuilds it so badly that there's no point in continuing it. But what's worse, if you can't open it in the store (which you can't do with a plastic sleeve like this), you won't know until you mess up the packaging and take it out. Sigh.

Pros
  • Wrist Rests
Cons
  • Thin
