Not like the photo or the description!

This product does not match the picture or description and is misleading. Great idea, bad execution. In the picture it looks like it's ALL made of gel or soft materials, but it's not! It has a hard plastic outer shell that doesn't mold to my teeth. As it claims to help with bottom alignment I figured it would help with my slight overbite. NOT CORRECT! The upper and lower molar gel pads are parallel to each other and the rigid plastic does not move or allow for a tight fit or adjustment to different bite patterns or orientations. With the word "nano" in the title or product name, I expected it to be thin or unobtrusive. No! It's just as bulky and unwieldy as a cheap Wally World Wilson. I like the smell/taste but that's about it. I've had cheaper soft shin pads from big stores that fit better at less than $2. I bought the Adams headphones as an add on for 75 cents which fit and worked perfectly. I have requested a refund for this unfortunate Shock Doctor. The packaging is nice and the instructions are clear and easy to understand. however, it came with a tiny orange card with "Revised Instructions", and if you accidentally lose it or it falls out of the box before you see it, you're SOL. I've followed the corrected instructions THREE times trying to get a nice fit. and also tried the original instructions and none of them worked. After a few last attempts, my front teeth finally went completely through the gel. :( In my photos you can see packaging, instructions, protection and belt on the right. Protection with belt on the left - 79 cents for comparison.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive
