Looks like 1 photo on Revain has a wire cage but it is actually a durable clear lexan/plastic cover. It looks like there should be 3 flashes, one on each side and one in the chrome shell, mine only lights up 2 external LEDs. They seem pretty bright to me and comparable to my other flash. Love the fact that they use AA and have a magnetic switch to turn them on and off. As for the tiny printed instructions on the outside of the box, that's fine, it just needs a bigger box. I'm sure for night time rescue work at sea, boating, man overboard, lost in deep woods at midnight then this flash will suffice. It looks a lot bigger than it does on the Revain in person, the easiest way to convey its dimensions is to take 2 AA batteries and stack them on top of each other, that's about the height and the width is about 1 AA, or if It took 6 AA, that would make the overall size of the device comfortable and compact, an industrial Velcro is installed on the back, corr. etc., it's easy to attach anywhere there is a piece of soft velcro, such as , I'll check that out.
