These are great sofas for small pets. I have 3 cats, 1 is 8lbs and the other 2 are around 20lbs. Each of them easily fits on a sofa. I daresay a medium sized Maine Coon would fit on it too. I bought two as I like to look at them together and create more of a bed. My cats love them so much. The only thing that bothered me was that I couldn't take off the legs. I keep them on my bedside table and prefer to take the legs off for stability as they balance on the table and the legs are right on the edge. However, they never slipped off the table. My newest sofa set has fallen off the table from time to time because the cats loved running over and wrestling with them. Even with my legs I've never had this problem and I've had them for a few months now. The pillows are still very well filled (overstuffed, actually) and haven't collapsed at all, so I think they'll probably hold their shape for quite some time. There are also small pockets on the back of each one which is great for me as I keep them on my desk. You can hide many human things in these pockets, and they can hold a cup :)
