Definitely not for class - waste of money

Bought this to help my grandson who is in 3rd grade math. He's already at the level of borrowing and transferring big numbers, so he definitely knows how to solve simple equations like 3 + 4 = 7. However, this game only gives them about 5 seconds to answer a question - he doesn't even have enough time there to understand what the problem is (add or subtract) and give an answer. (There are three squares, and random squares are filled each time, so you have to decide if you need to add or subtract.) There's no way to turn off the 5 second feature, so unless you're older than that and can't Make a quick decision then add or subtract in your head this game is useless. The numbers jump around in different fields and there is no way to set other display methods. It was a waste of money for what I needed it for. Until he can use it, it will be useless because he no longer needs it.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
