AUGUST 2018 - Sun . It seems to work. this is a good size for our one and a half year old boxer puppy. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I'm not sure how long it will take her to sniff it out and dump it all on her box. I'm just not sure how to secure it to prevent this from happening, but I don't make it easy for me to remove it for cleaning/filling (which I really like!). And then . she's smart, maybe she's smart enough not to drain the water. I will update it after using it for a while and if she leaves it alone I will upgrade it to 5 stars. Update: We've been using this for a while and our messed up lazy boxer mix took it up a notch. twice from the box. Both times our intruder alarm glass break detector worked. However both times it was a protest against the fact that it was empty and only once when we weren't home. She actually seems to prefer this drinker to a regular bowl/pot. I'll order a second one to eat in her bowl for the occasional long day in the drawer. Second update (April 24, 2019) - I finally found the time to order another bowl because summer is coming and there may be some longer days. It was supposed to be one today so I took the second bowl I ordered (arrived yesterday) and put 2 cups of kibble in it for our fluffy baby. Yes. nope He doesn't pour out water, but he doesn't let food in there either. The mess was crazy - EVERYWHERE baby. If we make another attempt, we'll have to take better care of it. I don't dock the stars because it's not the objects fault (really), it lets the bucket be watered. But I want to warn those with a stubborn dog coming out. I will say that the original is still in its original form. I wash it in the dishwasher at least once a week but it never looked unsightly and still looks brand new!
