After 5 hours of riding in the cold rain I came to the conclusion that my current glove settings are not good enough. I researched several options with the following main criteria: 1) must be waterproof, 2) must offer the best handlebar feel, 3) must be warm enough to wear on 40-50 degree riding days. I have a pair of Bilt waterproof winter gloves, they fit waterproof and mostly warm, but they don't match the handlebar feel. With Bilt gloves I feel like my hands have to be gripping the steering wheel all the time, which gets a bit painful on long drives. So I bought these Cortech Men's Scarab 2.0 Winter Motorcycle Gloves after much research. They arrived earlier this week and the weather is warm at the moment so I haven't had a chance to test them in real life but my first impressions are very good. The processing of these gloves is much better than Bilt gloves. The stitching is precise and durable. The quality of the leather is excellent. They already have a natural curve in their fingers which will hopefully result in less hand fatigue on long rides. The interior is lush and warm. Knowing they have a Goretex lining I'm sure they will keep my hands dry in rainy weather. If they turn out not to live up to my expectations after a cold weather ride, I'll post an update here. But so far this is a 5 star product!
